Course overview
Pandemics, shipping disruptions, conflicts, sanctions, extreme weather and supplier failures have shown how fragile lean, globally stretched supply chains can be. Organisations now need supply chains that are efficient and resilient: able to anticipate disruption, absorb shocks and recover quickly without losing customers or margins.
This Aractech course gives procurement, logistics and operations professionals a structured approach to supply chain resilience. Participants map their end-to-end supply network, identify single points of failure and multi-tier supplier risks, quantify exposure with tools such as time-to-recover and value-at-risk, and design responses including dual sourcing, nearshoring, buffer strategies, contract clauses and supplier collaboration.
The course also covers early-warning systems, supply chain digital twins and analytics, business continuity planning and crisis response. Through a running case study and simulation, participants build a resilience plan for a critical product or category in their own organisation.
