Course overview
Pipelines transport oil, gas and products over long distances through populated areas, sensitive environments and offshore locations. A single failure can cause fatalities, environmental damage, long outages and regulatory penalties, so operators must manage integrity systematically throughout the pipeline life cycle.
This Aractech course explains how to build and operate a pipeline integrity management programme: threat identification, risk assessment, in-line inspection, direct assessment, defect evaluation, repair methods, corrosion control, leak detection and emergency response. Participants learn how to prioritise integrity activities using risk and data and how to demonstrate compliance to regulators.
Real incident case studies and practical exercises on inspection data help participants apply the methods to their own pipeline systems.
