Introduction

Course overview

Methane is a powerful greenhouse gas, and oil and gas operations are one of its largest human-made sources. New regulations, including the EU methane regulation, and investor expectations are requiring companies to measure, report and sharply reduce methane emissions.

This Aractech course explains methane emission sources across the value chain, detection and measurement technologies from handheld cameras to satellites, leak detection and repair programmes, reporting frameworks and the most cost-effective reduction measures. Participants build a methane management plan suited to their own operations.

The course connects technical, regulatory and business considerations so that participants can drive measurable reductions.
