Introduction

Course overview

Flaring and venting waste valuable resources and contribute significantly to greenhouse gas emissions. Regulators, investors and host governments now expect oil and gas companies to reduce routine flaring and manage emissions transparently.

This Aractech course explains the sources of flaring, venting and fugitive emissions, measurement and reporting methods, flare system design and operation, and practical reduction options such as gas recovery, utilisation and process changes. Participants also examine regulatory and voluntary initiatives and develop emissions reduction plans.

The course combines technical, regulatory and commercial perspectives to support real reductions.
