Course overview
Confined spaces such as tanks, vessels, pits, sewers and silos can contain toxic atmospheres, oxygen deficiency, engulfment hazards and other dangers. Many confined space fatalities involve would-be rescuers.
This Aractech course explains how to identify confined spaces, assess risks, plan safe entry, test atmospheres, apply isolation and ventilation, select equipment and prepare emergency rescue arrangements. Participants develop confined space procedures and entry plans.
The course is a management and awareness course and does not certify participants as rescue team members.
