Introduction

Course overview

Insurers sit on decades of policy, claims and customer data, yet many still price, underwrite and settle claims with manual, rule-based processes. This Aractech course shows how AI turns that data into faster underwriting decisions, shorter claim cycles and earlier fraud detection, without losing control of regulatory and ethical obligations.

The week follows the insurance value chain. It starts with the data ecosystem and InsurTech landscape, then works through AI-driven underwriting and risk pricing, intelligent claims triage and document processing, and machine-learning fraud detection. The final day brings these together into a strategic roadmap, covering change management, integration with core policy and claims systems, and compliance.

Participants work on realistic insurance scenarios, such as triaging a backlog of motor claims or flagging suspicious health claims, so that each concept is tied to an operational decision they recognise. They leave with a prioritised list of AI opportunities for their own company and a clear view of the data, people and governance needed to deliver them.
