Introduction

Course overview

Poor estimates are a root cause of unrealistic plans, budget overruns and loss of credibility. Better estimating techniques produce more reliable plans and commitments.

This Aractech course covers estimation principles, analogous, parametric and bottom-up estimating, three-point and PERT estimates, agile estimation, managing uncertainty and bias, estimate reviews and calibration. Participants estimate case projects using multiple techniques.
